Besides goat milk soap, we raise fainting goats, sheep, and we also breed Old Time Scotch Collies and are proud to be part of the restoration efforts of this historic and versitle breed of farm dog. Lazy B Homestead was established in 2007 when Sam and I moved from the town life to the dream of raising farm animals, growing our own veggies to eat and can, and fiber from our animals for yarn. Teac
hing and educating people on animals and their uses have been a passion of Sam's. He gave educational programs about reptiles and farm animals over the course of 25 years. My love for herbs and herbal products started 29 years ago when I was a co-owner of a Natural foods store, juice bar/ restaurant. I started to learn about herbs and how each plant has a purpose. It wasn't until a few years ago that I incorporated the use of goat milk and herbs to make soaps. It is amazing to us so many things can be used in soaps that are good for your skin. Organic herbs are used when infusing oils. The infused oils are then used to make cold-processed Artisan soaps and salves. Herbal infused salves are a wonderful addition to help with maintaining our health. No preservatives are ever used in any of our products and each bar of soap is wrapped in freezer paper to protect it and preserve the scent. we are proud to be part of a program to re-establish the Old Time Scotch Collie farm dog. This breed has a long history and played a major roll in the AKC Collies you see today as well as other breeds like the Australian Shepard, English sheep dog and more. these dogs are extremely smart and versiltle. they have become therapy dogs, service dogs, watch dogs, herding dogs, overall farm dogs as well as wonderful family pets. to learn more about this breed visit the Old Time Scotch Collie Assoc.
