🚨🍎 FROM SCHOOLS OUT TO SCHOOLS IN — WEEK TWO! 🍎🚨

The program continues this week thanks to an incredible team of volunteers, community partners, and local organizations working together to make sure Danville kids have access to lunch throughout the summer.

Before we move forward, two major shoutouts are absolutely deserved:

❤️ #1 — Washington Hose & Fire Company
Thank you for providing the Washies Playground Pavilion and a safe, beautiful place for kids to grab lunch, play, and spend time with friends in the community.

A friendly reminder to everyone utilizing the playground:
🗑️ Please clean up after yourselves.
🚻 Please be respectful of the restrooms and facilities.
This playground exists because of volunteers who dedicate their time and effort to keeping it available for our community.

❤️ #2 — East End Fire Company
A huge thank you for stepping up during Week One, helping us test the waters, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide valuable feedback that will help make this program even better moving forward.

The positive feedback we’ve received from parents, volunteers, sponsors, and community members has been overwhelming, and we’re grateful for every single person who has helped make this program possible.

👏 Special appreciation to Adam Gregg for providing the signage and banners that helped bring visibility to this effort and spread the word throughout the community.

❤️ FROM SCHOOLS OUT TO SCHOOLS IN — DAY 3! ❤️

Three days in, and we’re already seeing what can happen when a community comes together for its children.

A huge thank you to East End Fire Company, who stepped up and kicked off this year’s From Schools Out to Schools In summer lunch program on Monday. Their volunteers helped launch another season of ensuring local kids have access to a nutritious lunch throughout the summer months.

Every bagged lunch handed out is more than just a meal. It’s a reminder that Danville takes care of its own.

This program is made possible through the generosity of our sponsors, volunteers, community organizations, and everyday people who understand that when school is out, the need doesn’t take a vacation.

Seeing families gathering at Washies, kids enjoying the playground, and volunteers serving with a smile is exactly what community is all about.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make this program a success so far. We’re just getting started!
