Happy New Year!

2023 was a great one for us. The boars at the farm settled sows at a high rate all over the country and produced 28 grand or reserve champions at state or national level shows. That makes 61 over the past 3 years. We consider that to be pretty good for little known small timers who “don’t even go to pig shows”!

Same plan and same dreams for 2024. Nothing fancy. Just the kind that work and the kind that win!

A family wedding means we are unable to take this guy to Belton as planned so he’s now available!

This picture is about a month old and we think he just keeps getting cooler. He’s freaky wide and has a chest floor I haven’t seen in many Herefords. Grand Dam was littermate to ISF Champion Herf Barrow. Dam was Elkhart County Champion Herf Gilt and every pig in her last litter was Champion or Reserve Hereford at their fairs.

Honestly, we’d keep and use him if every single Hereford sow in our herd wasn’t from this same sow line!

We’re heading to Breeder’s Choice Bred Gilt Sale tomorrow with a maternal sib and could bring him along for delivery!
