Koehl Farm Pronounced Kale just like the leafy vegetable. 1915 and beyond . Four generations and going strong. Fred, in 1910 and Ferdinand and Louis in 1913.

In 1910 Fritz Kohl had a plan to send his three oldest sons to America .The Koehl Brothers ,Fred ,Ferdinand and Louis came from Wolfskirchen,France. They worked on the 240 acre farm in 1915 and eventually bought the farm in 1920 from John Piper. In 1929 when Fritz died , Louis decided to leave the farm and went back to France and Fred and Ferd farmed together until George,( Freds son) bought Ferd

s share after returning from World War II .Fred died in 1950 leaving his share to his wife Louise . George then bought Louises' share and It remained solely in George's hands till 1975 when Georges son Mike bought in and then George Jr bought in in 1981 and Koehl Farm Inc was formed. In 2005 four years after George Sr died , Mike and George Jr bought out Lorraine ,George Sr wife, and The Koehl Brothers were formed again. In 2016, The fourth generation will be starting as Shane , Mikes son will be buying in . Long live the Koehl Farm!
