We are looking for some part-time help in the milking parlor. Our cows and us would appreciate cuz they have to be milked twice a day morning and night. We are looking for someone to fill in night milkings with some morning milkings sprinkled in if you're available. We milk 60 cows in a double six parlor the time it takes is usually between 2 to 3 hours. Afternoon milking starts about 4:30 so you should be able to get out of here by 7:00. So if you are someone or if you know somebody that needs some extra hours and have some experience and wants to work in a clean environment and be with some friendly animals give me a shout. . You can just message me on messenger and then we can discuss pay after you respond . Thanks

Well this don't happen too often around here two cows calving at the same time it's a race to see who's going to go first. Luckily there was no difficulties except a little, the cow on the left ,Penny, had twin heifers. Busy day today. So we got three calves with two cows. Whew I'm exhausted!

Austin,our veterinarian from Stateline Veterinary was here today for our monthly calf vaccinations and pregnancy checks. Lawson and Liam got a first hand look at an ultrasound of a 45 day old embryo being formed. So fascinating for the boys and so many questions.

Fifty years ago, Wisconsin had 50,000 dairy farms. Ten years ago, we had 11,000. Today, there are just 6,000 in the state. And last year, we lost these farms at a rate of more than one per day.

Well the storm rolled through right during milking tonight, 10 cows to go and the a lightning bolt hit the barn It was so loud it sounded like a bomb went off. Then the lights flickered. All we could think of was the cows so checked the barns luckily no dead cows.Didn't lose power but it took out 4 of our computer boards for the milk machines. Luckily the service shop was open in Janesville so drove to get four computer boards 1500 a piece ouch. It's a late night but everything is reprogrammed for morning milking. Shane and Warren got er done. The cows can't wait. Never a dull moment on the farm. Not sure where exactly the lightning hit but we noticed these two trees had white streaks. 2 and a half more inches rain though.
