Earlier this month our founders went to Green Circle Foodtech Conference, sponsored by . They witnessed first hand the impressive evolution of the industry, and came back with two key takeaways:

1) Indulgence needs to be fixed. Sugar and sodium were the go-to tricks to ensure quasi-addictive flavors and experiences, but the cost at the healthcare level is unsustainable. Foodtech is, after all, still , and needs to be delicious in order to win hearts and stomachs.

2) Universities have a huge role to play in the future of food. There needs to be a faster path for breakthrough technology developed at our universities to get to people's tables. Startup speed is still much faster than academia speed, and that creates disconnects that are detrimental to both sides.

and our partners will continue to push the boundaries in sugar reduction. Together we will get to a healthier tomorrow!
