Every August, our family gathers at Union Grove Cemetery to celebrate and remember Bill and Rosie Parkinson.

With Grandpa Bill’s birthday and both of their passing dates falling in August, it’s a special time to honor the proud second-generation owners of Avon Locker Plant. Bill and Rosie bought Avon from Rosie’s parents in 1970 before passing it on to their oldest daughter, Diane, and son-in-law, Roch—the parents of our current owner, Andrew in 1998. Their legacy is forever showcased by the photo of Avon on the front of their headstone.

We all wear our Avon hats/shirts, or other family gear, share stories, and, of course, enjoy(ish) a Pabst
in Grandpa Bill’s honor. ❤️

Here’s to the family traditions and the legacy that continues to live on.

We browned up 2 pounds of hamburger for spaghetti last night and had less than 1/3 cup of grease left in the pan.

The smokers are running, the counters are stocked, and the meat keeps moving thanks to our amazing team. We’re pretty sure they’re having way too much fun without the boss watching… 😉😂
