Been seeing a lot of all black fuzzy wuzzy’s around over the last few weeks.. I really hope we aren’t going to have a bad winter.
I struggled last year with my outdoor crew, mounds of snow & ice, days of freezing temps, weeks of frozen waterlines for the rabbits, keeping everyone as warm as possible, sky high electric bills ($2,000+ a month), trying to make sure everyone had clear paths to get around.
Not only all that, my body with rheumatoid arthritis & being anemic makes me ache all over! I do a lot if this farm thing on my own, it’s hard when your body hurts all over!
Maryland is really all I know (only state I’ve ever lived in) but moving south sounds better each year as summer ends! We went from 70-80 degrees to rain, more rain, warm, to suddenly frost warnings, seeing your breath at night! Today I saw all my animals laying in the sun & soaking it up for once lol.
I’m so missing my shorts, tanks & being warm already.. I’m not cut out for the cold anymore😩😬
So the list of things to do & materials needed to prepare for winter begins 😳👎🏼
Do you think bugs can predict a seasons weather? Do you think it’s going to be a harsh winter for the northern & Middle East coast?
