Conforti and Ida Conforti in 1962. Ralph is our founding father, and Grandfather. It was his dream to own a farm, a dream that the current generation is trying to revive. Soon after Ralph purchased the farm he had Beef and a thriving egg business along with an egg delivery route. He and his wife would work long days at Westinghouse Electric in Beaver, PA then come home to the farm and work until d
ark. This went on for years and took its toll, eventually his health declined and in the early 70's, while both his sons where in the military, he was so sick he could not farm. The farm slowly grinded to a halt and eventually the fields were rented out and the farm fell into a state of despair. Through, tragedies and nearly losing the farm to taxes twice, the farm limped along until 2009 when we started purchasing blueberry bushes. Things were slowly starting to pick up, until 2011 when Ralph passed away. After a year of inactivity again, the family decided to pursue starting a CSA (community supported agriculture) In 2015, after a few years of testing products and the market, we started selling a limited number of shares. So far, with the support of our customers, it has been a success! The farm was a dream, then it was a reality....It became a burden, now its a legacy....Help us continue the farm, help us keep the dream alive...
In loving memory of our Founder...Ralph F.
