🥩Beef shares available starting February🥩
We offer grass-fed grain finished Angus beef. Whole, halves, and quarters are available. Our animals have been on top quality feed, pasture raised, and finished the last 120+ days on grain, giving the beef delicious flavor. Custom cut, so you decide what cuts fit your family.
🥩 Cost: $5/lb hanging weight for 1/2s and 1/4s.
$4.85/lb hanging weight for wholes.
These costs cover slaughter fee. You pay cut and wrap SEPERATE to North Fork Packing when you pick up at $1.19/lb hanging weight.
🥩 Wholes will typically hang at 840-900lbs, 1/2s around 420-450lbs, 1/4s around 210-225lbs. *Note: if you purchase a 1/4, your 1/4 will be a combo of front and back quarters. Some people think you would just get the back quarter or just the front.
🥩Extra info: Hanging weight is not take-home weight. You typically get back 63% of the hanging weight in actual take home meat. There is bone cut out, water weight loss as it hangs, trimmings, and how much you decide to grind into burger all effects the take home weight. Your meat will hang for about 16 days and then will be cut and froze for pick up.
🥩With all the share options you will get a variety of roasts, steaks, and burger. You will have the option to keep the offal, suet, and dog bones.
If you are new to buying straight from the farmer, I'm happy to answer any questions you have. An informed customer is a happy customer, understanding your final take home is important. Also, but think a 1/4 might be to big, we can possibly offer 1/8s, this is not custom cut as it has to be cut a specific way to split evenly.
