Sun Gap Farm Welcome to Sun Gap Farm. Our farm is situated within a sun gap in the coastal redwoods, 25 miles north of Santa Cruz, CA.

We offer organic produce, preserves, cider, a heritage orchard and a airbnb tiny home. Our farm is located within a coastal redwood forest. It is a 1 and 1/2 acre sun gap, or large opening, among the forest trees. This large opening creates a light microhabitat that supports the growth of plants that are different from those of the surrounding forest habitat. Because of the peculiarity of the area

and the light environment, Sun Gap Farm offers an optimal location to learn about forest environment, woodland habitation, and sustainable lifestyle. In our farm we have a centenary apple orchard. We have also planted new fruit trees (citrus, olive) and plan to plant more (apricot, pears, and plum), as well as nut trees (chestnuts and hazelnuts) and berries (raspberries and blueberries). We also have a modest herb and vegetable garden that we are planning to expand in the near future. The farm is closed to the public, but please write us an email to be included in our customer list and receive notices about Open Houses and other public events.

Apple crisp from My Own organically grown FUJI apples ! I planted the baby Fuji apple tree around 2017. It has resisted the fire and now it has grown enough to start producing. 🥰 The apples are beautiful and delicious raw but paradoxically i cannot eat raw apples without getting a skin rash… 🤷🏻‍♀️
