Just a heads up, friends: next weekend (6/26-6/28) we are OFF. Between our day jobs and slinging weird food, we're ready to take a real weekend off. Maybe even go on a date.

We will be out this weekend, as planned! Mercado on Fried Rice Friday, brunching at the Freight House on Sunday.

Lumpia is directly influenced by Chinese spring rolls (same texture, right? Fun fact: spring roll is not the same as an eggroll). Lumpia is the lovechild of trade and cultural exchange. Over time, we made it our own with local ingredients and traditions.

Today, like many Filipino creature comforts, lumpia is our calling card that people just can't seem to get enough of.

Rooted in borrowed culture, sometimes resistance - but always resilience.
