Scabland Farm We are a sustainable family farm. We raise Large Black hogs naturally, out on pasture. We are raising Large Black Hogs naturally.

The Large Black Hog is a heritage breed, originally from England. They are known for their superior bacon and excellent marbling, which is the fat distributed in the muscle. This makes a tender, flavorful pork cut that melts in your mouth. Our hogs are raised out on pasture, and most of the piglets just run loose. We don't use farrowing crates, gestation crates, antibiotics, or hormones. Our pigs

are fed a locally milled mix of peas and barley, in addition to their pasture. Our hope is that people recognize the need to source their food locally, and in doing so discover the lost flavor of heritage pork. If you are interested in ordering a whole or half hog, please contact us. We are willing to deliver to Spokane, and make quarterly deliveries to the Seattle area. You can pay by check, cash, or debit/credit. Whole and half hogs are custom butchered to your specifications at a local USDF certified butcher.
