🥒 GOT ZUCCHINI? 🥒

If you’ve been stopping by the farm stand lately, you know there’s no shortage of zucchini this time of year. So I thought I’d share one of the ways we love to turn all that fresh summer goodness into something really delicious.

Our Zucchini Farmhouse Skillet is simple, hearty and made entirely on the stovetop with zucchini, tomatoes, shallots, garlic, Parmesan. And because everything is better with bacon…a generous handful of crispy bacon on top. 🥓🍅🧄

Want to elevate it just a little more? Add some fresh basil on top right before serving. 🌿 Chef’s kiss. 🤌🏼😘

Last night, we served ours alongside grilled steak and fresh sweet corn, and it was the perfect late-summer farm-to-table dinner. Nothing fancy, just really good food made with fresh ingredients.

The Petite Sweets Co. will be joining us tomorrow 8/29 with petite cakes, petite pops, chocolate-dipped pretzels and dipped Oreos! Stop by and treat yourself! 🍡🍰

We’ll also have small-batch jams, pickles and relish handcrafted by BoonDoggie Farm! 🫐🥭🥒

Furlodough will have her incredible sourdough loaves, focaccia breads and cinnamon rolls! Come out early before she sells out! 🥯🍞

As fall allergies begin, school is back in session, and scratchy throats and seasonal sniffles start making the rounds, many of us naturally reach for a jar of honey—but not all honey is created equal.

When purchasing raw, pure local honey, it’s important to know your beekeeper and where the hives are located. Our honey comes from hives right here at Walnut Hill Farm and is harvested by our trusted beekeeper, Debbie of Wingnut Bees. It is raw, pure and never heated or diluted with syrups or filled with unnecessary additives—just beautiful honey made by hardworking bees. 🐝

Honey can be wonderfully soothing in warm tea or enjoyed by the spoonful. Although it isn’t a proven cure for seasonal allergies, you can feel good knowing exactly where your honey comes from, how it is handled and that every purchase supports local bees, a local beekeeper and our family farm.

Since it’s the beginning of a new school year, we thought our followers might get a kick out of our back-to-school photo.

This was our first day of 11th grade, September 1991. We had fallen in love that summer, but here’s a fun fact that might blow your mind: we had already known each other since the sixth grade!

Rick had a crush on me back then, but unfortunately for him, I still believed boys had cooties. Thankfully, he waited it out! 😉

Thirty-five years later, we’re still side by side…just with a little less hair and a lot less Aquanet! Stop by the farm stand today for a real-life before and after! 😂😜
