Baby Bok choy for days! .melonbros have expanded their growing season and crops to serve new markets! As part of our first crop planning with these little bok choy babies are headed all 29 sites in late March and early April! When institutions switch to sustainable procurement, farm businesses grow and tax payer dollars stay local. It’s a win for everyone!

This is the impact of institutions switching to sustainable sourcing from Ca family farms. .melonbros specialize in peppers and melons. But has been expanding their growing season and business by growing in the winter for our institutional customers. This sale is preplanned, pre-sold and high volume , allowing for expansion of their farm into the winter season. When institutions source sustainably our communities and family farms thrive ! Previous sales experience a plus- but we will teach you the Spork way. All of our customers are strongly committed to the mission of improving food systems, food access and supporting farmers. Each customer has specific needs and goals. We meet each customer where they are in their path to sustainable sourcing. We all got to try some beautiful colored cauliflower and broccoli.
