Epic Chocolates Pictures and descriptions of my homemade chocolates of the season. With his declining health and us living 3,000 miles apart, I continued the tradition alone.

For more years than I can remember, my father has made homemade truffles for the holiday season. One day, I decided that this was a tradition I wanted to continue so he introduced me to the process and he and I made chocolates together. My wife told me that since I was going to do this, I should do it right so in 2015 I became professionally trained and certified as a chocolatier. In the years sin

ce, I have taken numerous master classes to give my chocolates a look and flavor that set them apart from what is traditionally found. My hopes with these chocolates is to create an epic experience where the appearance captures your eye and the taste causes you to pause as you take in this momentary indulgence.

Today we’re excited to share this chocolate platter with the amazing Yolo BARRE crew at the Davis Farmers Market Picnic in the Park!

Wake up, babe! The new Farmers Market bars just dropped! 🍫🌾

This week we’re featuring TWO limited-edition bars inspired by the incredible ingredients found right here at the market:

🍓 Pecan & Freeze-Dried Strawberry – sweet, crunchy, and packed with berry flavor.

🍐 Pecan, Pear, Apricot & Golden Raisin – a delicious blend of dried fruits and roasted pecans that pairs perfectly with dark chocolate.

Both bars are made on top of our house-made 60% dark chocolate and are available this week for just $12 each.

Introducing Michael’s Million Dollar Chocolate Bar 🍫

Some chocolate bars are made to satisfy a sweet tooth. This one was made to honor a legacy.

Meet Michael’s Million Dollar Chocolate Bar, our new 55% dark milk chocolate crafted with cacao sourced from Mexico and sweetened with allulose, making it a great option for those watching their sugar intake.

This bar is named after Michael, Chef Scott’s dad, who lived with Type 1 diabetes and was the person who first introduced Scott to chocolate making. Long before The Chocolate Bar Davis existed, Michael encouraged creativity in the kitchen, supported every new chocolate idea, and was always the biggest fan of what would eventually become this family business.

After Michael’s passing in August 2025, we wanted to create something special in his memory; a chocolate bar that reflects both his love of chocolate and his determination to enjoy life’s simple pleasures despite the challenges of diabetes.

Every Michael’s Million Dollar Chocolate Bar is a tribute to a father, mentor, and friend whose support helped make The Chocolate Bar Davis possible.
