Moved the monthly marketing meeting to the farm this year for the month of September.

We used the time to view the plot, check the cool innovative Helena trailer, and hear from seed reps.

What a beautiful afternoon/evening it was to kick off the harvest soon to start, and we ended with steak dinner and the marketing update from The Andersons!

Almost one year ago this guy called me looking for a position.
I thought I scared him with the job's details. (Long hours & got to keep your stuff clean, among other things.) Nope... 2 hours later he walked through my door. 😜
No scaring Kyle Konieczny! He is still here 👏👏👏👏👏 and he loves to keep things clean! Iykyk

He made it through harvest 2025 and went on to drive truck 124.... And keep it clean he does!

But for this they went the extra mile....

With help from Mitchell Whitaker, Minnie, Jack Fischer, and a few others he took top 20 out of 228 trucks at the St. Ignace truck show. Tonight is the light parade!

Congratulations Kyle. 🏆 We appreciate you and the way you take care of your truck!

Here is a quick view of our time at the Genesee County Fair last week hosting The Antique Tractor Show on Farmer Day. 😃

Approximately 50 tractors and even more folks roamed the exhibits, talked about the old days and ate fair food... of course! 🌮🌭🍕🥨🍟 😜

A few even tried pulling the sled during the amateur pulls. 🚜

We had beautiful weather and were able to pack up before the final tractor parade and we beat a rain that moved through at about 5:00. No worries ... the rodeo went on in the grandstand later! 🐴🐎🐃🇺🇸

Today was the day we handed over the goodie bags to the 4H kids in Genesee County. The smiles say it all. Thanks again to Sy Caryl Deb Caryl Brandon Ivory Pioneer Seed, Greg Mischel from Debuck Sod Farm, Debbie Sholes Accounting and Hunt Farms Inc. and anyone else that lent a hand in making this a successful endeavor.

Today a few of us along with the Gleaner group filled 100 bags for the 4H kids next week at the Genesee County Fair.
From water to ink pens to nuts and chips... and lotsa other things to help them get through fair week.... We made light work of this project and are super excited to do this for the kids that work so hard with their animals to get them fair ready!
Thanks to the sponsors this year, Deb Caryl And her crew and Sy Caryl for putting it all together!

The fair starts Monday evening 8/24 with a truck and tractor pull.

We got some rain over the weekend.

3/10 here but Columbiaville got 4/10 and Belsay Rd area 1" or more.

We needed all we got so far!

Yesterday started out with a shade over 1/10 " of rain and cleared off to a beautiful day to pull some old plows, eat donuts from Davison Home Bakery, eat hot dogs and snacks and yes there was ice cream! And the visiting is also a plus!
Thanks to our awesome crew we got things set up and tore down quickly and their support throughout the day is also amazing!
Hard to believe its almost mid August and we were doing this again. 🤷‍♀️
