Update on Remi:
Doctors removed his drain tube last week from his large abscess that was draining for about a week. He was prescribed antibiotics for 14 days but was only able to take it for 3 days since he was having an allergic reaction to it, so doc’s completely took him off of the antibiotics. Since they removed the drain, he has still been feeling weak at times, fatigued, nauseous, clammy, sweats and chills all at the same time. We let his infectious diseases doc know about his on and off continued symptoms, so he ordered an immediate repeat CT to make sure the abscess is gone and there is no other infection. Hopefully, god willing, his body is just going through the motions of healing and there are no more surprises. But he will be doing the CT this Friday and we will know more then.
Overall, Rem has been a lot better. He looks better, sounds better, feels better, and is healing better. He just has these lingering symptoms that are obviously concerning. So hopefully it’s nothing and doc says he needs another round of different antibiotics 🤞 but we’ll know more after Friday.
