It was time for a trim! Now is a great time for those who have lavender to start trimming yours in preparation for winter! We go day by day around here because our backs can only take some much 🤪

This is what they looked like to begin with! We left these particular plants for the bees this year for the full season and they were happy about it for sure. But now that they’re all dried up it was time to start the trim.

A truck bed full of… lavender? Yup! We’re harvesting now for oil distillation here on the farm.

(don’t worry there’s a giant tarp under all that lavender 😉)

Some of our original sachets headed out today. If you have a linens closet, dresser or gym bag these things are small yet mighty in scent.

We have a busy August, so we will be harvesting in rounds this month for oil distillation.
