🐥🌱 CHICK UPDATE! 🌱🐥

The chicks are officially starting to get the hang of the chicken tractor routine! 🚜🐔

Every evening when it’s time to move to a new spot, they’re getting more excited about what comes next—fresh grass, new places to explore, bugs to discover, and plenty of scratching and pecking! 🪱🌿

And, of course, they’re leaving behind their own little contribution… wonderful chicken fertilizer! 💩🌱

It’s pretty amazing watching them learn, explore, and do exactly what chickens are meant to do—while helping improve the soil along the way. ❤️

Fresh grass + happy chickens + bugs + fertilizer = a pretty great farm life! 🐔🌱

🐥 CHICK UPDATE! 🐥

The chicks are officially entering their awkward teenage phase… feathers are starting to pop out on their wings, and they’re beginning to figure out how this whole chicken tractor thing works! 😂

Every time we move their movable coop, they get a brand-new buffet of fresh grass, bugs, and whatever other questionable snacks they can find. 🌱🐛🐥 Meanwhile, they leave behind their own special contribution to the farm… fertilizer! 💩🤣

We won’t see the full benefits of their hard work until next year when the lawn starts coming back in, but hey—some things are worth the wait! 🌱💚

Unfortunately, we are down to 29 chicks. While it’s always disappointing to lose one, it can happen when raising chicks. The remaining crew is growing, eating, pooping, and working hard at their very important job of turning bugs into chicken! 😂🐔

Today, our newest little farm residents arrived—day-old Cornish Cross chicks! 💛

There is something incredibly rewarding about knowing where your food comes from and being part of the process from the very beginning. These tiny chicks are the start of another journey toward raising our own food right here on the farm. 🌱🐥💛
