Blue Mountain Station Blue Mountain Station is a 28-acre food processing park owned and supported by the Port of Columbia in Dayton, Washington.

🌾 open to the public The first building, the Artisan Food Center is 6,912 sq ft and houses five leasable food processing spaces and a commercial kitchen. One of the tenants is a co-op owned natural foods market. The market sells the food, craft and art products of over three dozen regional consignment vendors as well as local produce. It also resells natural food and home products sourced from regional distributors.

OKTOBERFEST… Blue Mountain Station’s annual Oktoberfest Fall Family Festival is coming Saturday, Sept. 26. Fun activities, food, drink and music for one and all.

Whether you’re a discriminating seasonal foodie, accomplished cake walk dancer, pumpkin painting Picasso or just someone looking for a relaxing change of pace in a beautiful community setting, come on out. Make memories this weekend.

Oktoberfest food and other delicious items at the Co-op, pizza, music, inflatable obstacle course for kids of all ages, bead stringing, vendor booths and more.

Admission is free. The event runs from 11a to 4p.

🐉 OKTOBERFEST VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: Raven Rose Co.! 🧶

Sometimes businesses start with a carefully developed plan.

And sometimes they start when you buy your husband a 3D printer for Christmas … and discover that you really like using it yourself. 😄

That’s how Raven Rose Co. took flight in 2024.

At first, Melony wanted to create a few accessories to go with her crochet work—including 3D-printed dragon eggs for her crocheted dragons. But once she started designing and printing, she was hooked.

“I enjoyed it so much that I decided to make a go of selling my 3D designs online.”

Today, Raven Rose Co. offers an imaginative mix of crochet plushies, fidget clickers, mini wiggly critters and other collectibles.

Two particular favorites are the mini wiggly critters and keycap clicker keychains. Melony thinks there’s a pretty simple explanation for their popularity: people love things they can fidget with!

“My creative process can be a bit chaotic,” Melony says. Inspiration might strike on its own, or a customer suggestion or request might spark the next design.

At Oktoberfest this year, Raven Rose Co. is bringing something brand new: wood products will make their debut at the booth!

🐄 OKTOBERFEST VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: CraftyCowLady! 🧶

What happens when you combine a love of cows, a creative streak, yarn, cake and a farm? You get CraftyCowLady!

Taura started her business about three years ago after her mother-in-law taught her to crochet dishcloths. But simply going back and forth with yarn didn’t hold her attention for long.

“I got bored, so I started adding designs into the dishcloths, got bored of that and taught myself how to make plushies!”

Today, crocheted plushies are a CraftyCowLady specialty — including Taura’s wonderfully quirky Emotional Support line. There’s an Emotional Support Pickle to remind you that you’re a BIG DILL, an Emotional Support Taco that says it’s OK to fall apart, and even a Chill Pill because, as Taura points out, “Never in the history of ever has being told to calm down helped someone calm down!”

And yarn is only the beginning.

Living on a farm inspired Taura to turn empty feed bags into reusable tote bags. She’s also a self-taught baker who creates custom cakes and cake pops. (“It’s cake, on a stick!” Enough said. 😋)

For Taura, crafting is about creating a little happiness.

“Everything I make I put a lot of time and energy into in the hopes of bringing a bit of happiness to someone’s day!”

And the proceeds help with another worthy cause — buying treats for the farm animals and thoroughly spoiling them. 🐄🐐🐓

🏍️ OKTOBERFEST VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: Biker B’s Bathworks! 🧼

What started as a weekend experiment in October 1997 turned into a business before Meredith Bretz and her partners quite knew what had happened.

Then came the business-license application—and the realization that their new venture actually needed a name.

Their last names started with B. They rode Harleys. And with that, Biker B’s Bathworks was born.

Nearly three decades later, Biker B’s is still making soap the old-fashioned way, using the traditional cold-process method. Most varieties are made with water, while others feature goat milk.

And then there are those names:
- Woodstock
- Happy Hippie
- Mother Earth News
- Mountain Mist
- Lewis & Clark

Meredith says it’s often the name that first catches a customer’s attention—and then the fragrance takes over. There are soaps for the whole family… even the dog!

But Biker B’s isn’t just about soap. They also create soy wax candles, reed diffusers, roll-on fragrances and beard oil, offering plenty of ways to make yourself—or your surroundings—smell a little better. 😊

🤠 OKTOBERFEST VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: E2 Leatherwork!

For Jessie, owner and creator of E2 Leatherwork LLC, working with leather is more than a craft. It connects her childhood, her family’s ranching heritage—and even a great-grandfather she never had the chance to meet.

Jessie grew up at the foothills of the Blue Mountains on her family’s Eastern Washington cattle ranch, raising Black Angus cows and calves. Even the name E2 Leatherwork comes straight from the ranch: the family brand is a reverse E hanging 2.

And her fascination with leatherwork started early.

“Ever since I was a young girl I have awed over fancy chaps and belts. I always dreamed of having intricately tooled saddles and spur straps, so I decided I would make them myself!”

Jessie began doing leatherwork in 2019—but in a way, she’s carrying on a much older family tradition. Her great-grandfather made reins, saddles and other leather goods. Although Jessie never met him, some of his leatherworking tools were passed down to her.

Today, she gets to use those same tools in her own work. ❤️

Jessie specializes in handcrafted and custom leather goods. Her popular ready-made pieces include tooled hair clips and card holders, while customized belts, wallets and purses are perennial favorites.

And if you have an idea of your own, Jessie loves custom work.

One of her favorite parts of leatherworking is taking someone’s idea and figuring out how to bring it to life—creating something that’s not only useful, but uniquely theirs.

Sometimes there are second chances! If you missed live music with Calico Bones and the Lucas Simpson Group at last year's Foodstock, they're back for Foodstock 2026, coming Saturday, July 18, 10a to 3p, at Blue Mountain Station in Dayton.

Sisters Madison and McKenzie Lindsey, aka Calico Bones, will be onstage from 10a to 1p. Whether covering popular songs or sharing an original from the depths of personal experience, this duo's music will have you tapping your toes and also realizing we all share challenges in life.

From 1p to 3p, the Lucas Simpson Group will be onstage. Known for great renditions of familiar hits from Billy Joel, James Taylor, Carole King, Elton John and others, Lucas has a rocking good time singing and playing whatever musical instruments happen to be at hand--flute, sax, harmonica, guitar or keyboard. Who knows what's in store this year?!

So plan now for a fun time and outdoor concerts at Foodstock's "groovy food & music" event. See you there!
