💦🌊🐟💙🫶🏻☀️ Blagaj. and river Buna near city of Mostar in the Herzegovina are one of the Bosnian most visited tourist attractions. A hidden paradise is one of the most magical places in Europe . Famous for its striking cliffside , Derivish monastery Tekija built 1520 and one of the Europe most powerful and largest freshwater karst springs in Europe. Gushes out of a deep cave beneath the cliffs to from the emerald- blue river.
Ottoman-Mediterranean architecture monastery Tekija built directly into 200 meters sheer limestone cliff . The view of the cliffs and monastery Tekija and the source of the river below the cave leaves everyone breathless!
On the top of high hill above village Blagaj , the ruins of the medieval fortress date back to the 10th century and offer best views on the rivers Buna and Neretva . Village Blagaj preserves old stone houses , cobblestone paths, and traditional Bosnian restaurant serving local food right along the river. The restaurant famous for serving freshly caught fish 🐟 Whole area Blagaj and Buna is famous for their figs, peaches 🍑 grapes , watermelon, pomegranate, lemon …
Here, nature has created a magical combination climate, water and irresistible Mediterranean agriculture.
Love this place ❤️ My best childhood memories are connected to Buna , Blagaj and my father’s family who lives here.
Always I come back to my favorite places , enjoying family, nature and amazing food. This summer my dream come true that my relatives who after war in Bosnia, live all over the world will gather on ours place once again ❤️❤️❤️

I am so proud when I went with. My international guests to caffe Badem where they have desserts from all over the world 🌎 You can found their world iconic dessert 🍮 I was there every day 😎. Badem on the Bosnian language means almond!
All made a fresh with best local ingredients. A place that many citizens of Sarajevo. and tourist love ❤️

🥮 🇧🇦 Pita is iconic traditional stable and beloved national dish category in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Made from hand stretched paper thin dough jufka or phyllo dough filled with savory or sweet ingredients. Jufka is made with only three ingredients flour, water and salt. Bosnian women have developed the art of stretching dough to perfection! From an eary age they learn how to stretch the dough across the entire table without making a single hole in the dough.. Perfectly thin dough so you can read the newspaper through it.
Many years ago, according to Bosnian tradition, girls who didn’t know how to make jufka and pita were not ready to get married 😊Times have changed and old tradition is no longer relevant🙂 Today, young women know perfectly how to choose ready- made jufka from the freezer in the store . Just like grandma made!
In Bosnia, pita takes on a specific name depending on what filling inside. Most popular is Burek pita. Filled with minced or chopped beef meat . Some place in the Burek filing adds potato and call Šareni Burek! Sirnica pita made with farmers cheese, eggs and cream.
Zeljanica pita is my favorite. Traditionally in the Bosnia Zeljanica made with spinach, feta or farmers cheese, eggs and cream. You can buy pita all over the Bisnia with handmade jufka in the specialty stores call Buregdjinica. Bosnians are very proud of their National Pita dish.
In Bosnia , it has always been an important question: Where is the best pita? Here, even among fans of local soccer teams , there were serious discussions about where is the best Pita.
Visiting Bosnia and not trying to the pita is big huge mistake. Seriously delicious , unique flavor and texture that makes you want more ! 🫐🍒🍳🧇🥐🪴 Brunch Restoran Avlija one of the most beautiful places in the Visit Sarajevo Bosnia and Herzegovina Avlija on the Bosnian language means a courtyard. Excellent family restaurant hidden in the Dzizdikovac old Sarajevo. On your first visit Avlija you will stay speechless ! You will think you step in the some old backyard in the 1960th . Beautiful interior design by famous Bosnian architect ,Amir Vuk Zec make you feel welcome and such a extraordinary place. The variety of numerous recognizable objects from past leaves you amazed by what you see.
You don’t know what to look first and what to admire.
Same like interior of the restaurant food is excellent 🫶🏻 the menu features well-chosen Bosnian dishes well combination with modern Western cuisine. Everything is made with local best ingredients such gives the food a special taste.
The courtyard reminds me of my grandmother’s house, which I carry in my heart with lots of love and memories 🏡❤️
So much thanks to owner family Karkin for the beautiful place, food and atmosphere in their courtyard 🤗

⛰️🏔️ 🇧🇦 💛💙 Today I am taking you in the Lukomir highest and isolated village in the Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Olympics mountain Bjelasnica 🇧🇦
Lukomir located on the 1495 meters ( 4905 feet ) Rocky 🪨 and dusty mountain road it’s only way to rich Lukomir .
Many tourists hiking 🥾 three hours to rich village. When you get into the village you get the sense that you stumbled into a chapter of history that time forgot in the 14 centuries!! Small community for the centuries preserved their traditions and customs with pride. This mysterious village with tiny population in the spring back into village and living in October in the villages under mountain. Wander closer and you’ll spot the stećci medieval 🏰 tombstones scattered across the hillsides, some etched with carvings of hunters and crosses They been here since the 14th century, quietly reminding anyone passing through Lukomir has been a frontier.
Visiting Lukomir village cannot possibly leave you indifferent. For a day’s I still thinking about Lukomir , beautiful mountain, a village where time stood. Still in the 14th. Century.

The perfume is beautiful 🤩 I wish you could smell it. Same Lily’s we had in our garden back in our home in the Bosnia 🇧🇦 Lily’s are symbol of the Bosnian Kingdom from the Middle Ages. Trough the centuries Lily’s have symbolized Bosnia , as they still today. Family tradition still in our garden and in our ♥️
