And just like that, the 2026 vintage draws to a close. Our harvest season spanned nearly two full months, capturing 11 different grape varieties from 9 different vineyards. Now they are tucked away, becoming beautiful w**e. There is more work ahead, finishing fermentation, racking, and blending, but there is always a tranquil feeling when the last grapes come off the vine.

Harvest season has become so special to us for other reasons as well. Our son Hatcher, born on September 27 2023, has witnessed his third vintage and even snipped some of the clusters on our final pick (although I think he devoured more grapes than he clipped!). Now, our dear baby Mara, born on October 10 2026 has attended her first harvest as well. We feel so fortunate for our chosen path, and so grateful for all of the folks who have supported our journey.

For baby reasons, we are offering limited hours in the tasting room this weekend. But we’ll still be open! We just want to make sure we don’t miss folks who are accustomed to our normal, later hours. Please see below for our hours this weekend:

This has been a thrilling harvest so far - our biggest vintage ever - and although it’s still underway (grapes coming in tomorrow, and more vineyards still hanging!) it feels like a good moment to bask in the glory of the 2026 vintage.

As w**emakers in this third generation of the Willamette Valley we feel that it is our responsibility to explore what “else” Oregon is capable of. This year Satyr Fire is making 11 different grape varieties (!) and none of them are considered traditional (yet) to our region.

This year we are crafting:
- Pinot Munier (for traditional sparkling)
- Gewürztraminer
- Auxerrois
- Pinot Blanc
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Chenin Blanc
- Godello
- Riesling (from 5 different vineyards)
- Trousseau Noir
- Gamay Noir
- Cabernet Franc

Looking back over the past decade, we’re in awe that our winding path has brought us here, and we feel such immense gratitude to the Willamette Valley.

As we launch into a joyous W**e Club Share with Appassionata Estate and The Eyrie Vineyards throughout the month of October themed “Beyond Tradition,” the team here with Trisaetum W**ery and Satyr Fire wanted to share some grape updates with you from the most diverse varietal day in the w**ery’s history. Low Inventory Alert: Stargazer + Stormcrow

The last of these w**es are beginning to vanish.
We are down to just five cases of Stormcrow. This 94-point Pinot Noir has become a dear w**e to so many, and it is very nearly gone.

Only 10 cases of Stargazer remain. We just released this w**e and are honestly surprised by how quickly it has disappeared. Our 93-point Riesling became the top seller of the summer.

Gather a bottle to enjoy or tuck away in your cellar. Come find us at the tasting room or order through our website before the final bottles disappear.

I went to a couple vineyards this morning, a bit afraid of what I’d find after this recent heavy rainfall. I was delighted by what I found however, as the grapes seemed to have been only lightly scathed. Some small amount of botrytis is present, but for 95% of the clusters they appear unblemished. Now, we just need to wait and let the upcoming warm weather dry things out.

As a w**emaker, each vintage fills me with the wonder of this craft like brand new. As a father, nothing fills me with more pride than sharing this excitement with my son. This is an incredible season, the month in which you were born, and we are so lucky to have this moment.
