It appears that Momma D has been quite busy! Today marks the official first batch of our sauerkraut, a small quantity prepared for initial testing. We have also completed our second batch of Chow Chow. Additionally, pear butter is now available for purchase. All of these items have been made shelf-stable through the process of water bath canning.

Planting begins for organic gardening. We planted our crops so we can grow our own veggies and some of the fruits for Momma D's Specialties!!

Tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini, sugar snap peas, blackberries, Huckleberry, raspberries, spinach, lettuce, chilli peppers, and rosemary. So far lol

Maybe some cabbage and other veggies that we can sell out of the farmstand as well!

Oh, I can't forget our aloe Vera plant and fig tree, too!!

Some of the many phases this farmstand has gone through. We are excited to be opening it soon! Our hope and prayer is to have it fully finished, stocked, and ready to open April1, 2026.
It will be stocked with jams, jellies, pickles, salsa, cowboy candy, various sweet breads, cookies, and many other Cottage Kitchen items.
We will be located at the corner of Winfree and Waring street in Dayton, Texas! So, be on the look out for the open doors soon.

It's beginning to look like spring around these parts. Which means markets are going to start happening soon. I'm looking for all types of vendors! I'm going to start my market planning soon.
