For 11 years, Maggie has been part of our lives and part of the heart of this farm. Many visitors knew her as the goat that smiled, always greeting people with her sweet personality and gentle spirit. She spent her later years being a grandma goat to our moody teen goats, but always managed to keep them in line. She brought joy to so many people over the years, and it’s hard to imagine the farm without her.
One of the hardest parts of caring for animals is knowing when it’s time to let them go peacefully. No matter how many years we have with them, that decision never gets easier. Loving animals means giving them the best life we can, but it also means making the difficult choices when their time comes. We cannot thank Dr. Knesser for always being there for us from babies first breaths to their lasts we could not ask for a better vet.
Our hearts are heavy today, but we are so grateful for every year, every memory, and every smile Maggie gave us. She was truly one of a kind and will always hold a special place here on the farm.
Run free, Miss Mags ❤️ 🌈🐐
