We are excited to MOO-VE FORWARD with Forward Madison FC for a one-of-a-kind partnership on June 17! 🦩🐮⚽️🧀

In addition to Forward Madison joining us on the Capitol Square for Cows on the Concourse, there will be a fundraiser for tickets sold for their June 17 match! A portion of ticket sales through the exclusive link below will be donated to Dane County Dairy to support continued dairy education and outreach by the committee.

With only four weeks until the big day, we thought it'd be a good time to share more about this year's host!

Swaindale Genetics is owned and operated by Gary Swain and Dana Kelly, along with their three children, Danny, Bella and Lena. Farming is a family affair at Swaindale Genetics, where Gary, Dana, the kids and Scott, Gary’s brother, are the day-to-day help, and Bob and Lois Swain, Gary and Scott’s parents, assist with fieldwork. The family currently milks 30 cows in a tie-stall barn and manages 145 acres.

They are involved in the community through the Oak Park 4-H Club and Cambridge FFA, and the children are following in their parents’ footsteps by exhibiting at local, county and state fairs. Because of this, the Swains will have six different dairy cattle breeds on display at this year’s event!

We hope to see you at Swaindale Genetics on June 13!

Another June Dairy Month STtalks episode is here! 🎙️ Bringing dairy to downtown Madison, Wisconsin, the Cows on the Concourse is an event unlike any other! Megan Abeyta, a Co-Chair of the event joins us to share the history of the event, its growth over the past 44 years, and the wide array of activities and educational opportunities it offers. The event aims to bridge the gap between consumers and the dairy industry, drawing in large crowds from the nearby Dane County Farmer's Market and allowing the Dane County Dairy Promotions Committee to plant seeds with dairy consumers and provide an excellent dairy experience right at the heart of the capital.
