We’d like to take a moment and highlight one of our “extended family members” at Roper’s Creek Farms—Lisa.
Lisa was the captain of her equestrian team in college and came to us as a grooming-only lease. She missed being around horses, the barn environment, and having the company of an equine friend who gives back more than he or she takes. So Lisa signed up to lease one of our oldest equines—a 31 year old mare. After Magic passed away at just shy of 32, Lisa stayed on and took Roper under her angel wings. Roper’s owner lives in Pennsylvania and is now our most geriatric equine. Lisa bakes homemade and healthy treats, makes frozen goodies, grooms, supplies the cutest fly masks and matching halters, fly boots, and fly sheets, and gives Roper that extra attention any old man deserves.
Thank you for your selfless contributions at our barn and for loving these old horses so much! You are truly an angel!
