Well, isn’t this just lovely?

October is out here acting like summer, we’ve got new b**rs ready to pour, and everyone’s feeling the fall vibes.

It’s the kind of weekend that calls for a patio pint, a few friends, and absolutely no complaints about the weather.

Everyone is welcome, even them.

After all, it’s Bears-Packers weekend. We’re Midwest nice, not saints.

GRANDMA HAD A SECRET RECIPE. 🕯️

It was called Russian Tea.

Growing up, it almost magically appeared from her kitchen—a little citrus, a little sweetness, a little tea and cinnamon. The kind of recipe that somehow existed in every family’s cupboard, even if everyone made it a little differently.

Despite the name, Russian Tea is a distinctly American tradition, born somewhere between church cookbooks, holiday gatherings and mid-century kitchens. Passed down, tweaked, and occasionally guarded like a family secret.

We decided to see what would happen if we got our hands on the recipe and combined it with our Butterfly Nebula recipe.

Our Tang sour, dressed up with lemonade, Rishi Tea & Botanicals Earl Grey tea and cinnamon.

Tart citrus. Bergamot. Warm spice. A little nostalgia. A little witchcraft.

Grandma probably wouldn’t have put it in a fermenter.

But we think she’d approve.

Stoked to get the chance to make b**r with some of the best brewers and nicest chaps around and this new one with HOP BUTCHER FOR THE WORLD lives up to the expectation!

Seemed fitting to take this collaboration on a walk into the woods to give it a proper tasting and share some thoughts.
