TOP 10 REASONS FARM/RANCH TRUCKS AREN’T STOLEN:
10 They have about 20 miles before they overheat, break down, or run out of gas.
9 Only the owner knows how to operate the door to get in or out.
8 It’s difficult to drive fast with all the fence tool, rags, grease gun, ropes, chains, syringes, buckets, boots, and loose papers in the cab.
7 It takes too long to start and all the smoke coming up thru the rusted out floorboard clouds your vision.
6 The border collie on the tool box looks mean.
5 They’re too easy to spot. The description might go something like this: The driver’s side door 4 is red, the passenger door is green, the front right fender is yellow . . . etc.
4 The large round bale of hay in the back makes it hard to see if you are being chased. You could use the mirrors if they weren’t taped with duct tape.
3 Top speed is 45 mph … if you’re lucky.
2 Who wants to steal a truck that needs a year’s worth of maintenance, U-joints, thousands of dollars in body work, taillights, and a windshield?
1 It’s hard to commit a crime with everyone waving “Howdy” to ya.

Hay season 2025 has begun! Only 4 weeks late due to 11 plus inches of rain.

It’s funny, isn’t it?
How a man can wake up before the sun and still fall behind on time.
How he’ll spend thousands of dollars on seeds, fuel, and machines - just to put food on someone else’s table.
He fights weeds, weather, and worry - all before lunch.
While most people are frustrated by five minutes of traffic,
he’s already been cussed out by three drivers just for moving his tractor down the road.
He battles drought with prayer,
floods with faith,
and every day with back-breaking sweat.
Still… he doesn’t quit.
Coyotes take the chickens.
Deer wipe out the corn.
Equipment breaks, prices drop, and the bank still wants its payment.
And yet… he plants again.
Why?
Because somewhere, a child will open a lunchbox.
A family will gather around dinner.
A stranger will wear cotton that grew in his fields.
And even if they never know his name,
he’ll sleep at night knowing he gave the world something real.
Not likes. Not followers.
But life - grown in dirt, watered with sacrifice, and harvested with heart.
So here’s to the farmers.
To the quiet hands that feed loud cities.
To the unseen, the unthanked, the unshaken.
May God bless every farmer out there—
Not just for what they grow,
but for the way they keep this world turning.
