Planting for the season is happening now.
First leaves are appearing on the greenhouse tomato starts.

Here is where it gets tricky....
The ranch is for sale. I am proceeding as if it's not. If we're here at harvest time, the farmstand will open as usual. If not, it will be up to the new owners. Same if it sells during harvest. It will be up to the new owners whether they want to keep it open. Whoever buys this place is getting a HUGE bonus in the planted crops. I am not retaining harvest rights.

My Two Cents Worth

Recent generations of youth expect more than they earn. Unfortunately, when they get in a difficult circumstance at the upper levels of their chosen fields, they, and everyone under/behind them will suffer for it.
We are witnessing the effects of unwarranted promotion in business and politics world wide. Instructors and leaders, PLEASE do NOT allow a student/employee to move up because he is favored. More is at stake than a pay-raise or a title.

Election day is coming soon. Vote FOR someone . Vote FOR something. If your only purpose is to vote AGAINST, you are part of the problem.

My random thought for today:
After watching ANOTHER, once fictional, movie about artificial intelligence gone awry, I see how easy it is to accept convenience without considering the consequences.
Even those developing A.I. 'for the betterment of humanity' do not seem to grasp the concept of anticipating possible consequences.
IF you want to learn to think ahead, you must practice. May I suggest learning to play chess, or flying lessons, or equestrian sports(which sometimes results in unanticipated flying lessons).

Preparedness is thinking ahead. It is not an epithet for conspiracy theorists.

Farming just got more expensive.
Cut sidewall on TWO rear tractor tires. Not repairable😭.
If you thought tires on your car are expensive, try a pair of 18.4-R34 agricultural tires.

We're helping the Manchester Police Department by sharing this information in the ongoing search for Bonnie Sue Williams, who has been missing since early July.

The 56-year-old is 5'4", 180 lbs., with green eyes and brown hair, last seen in the area of her home, near the public library, wearing a navy tee, blue jeans, and Adidas shoes.

TOMATOES are starting to come on. Just a few ugly ones out right now, but there will be more.

ARMENIAN CUCUMBERS are plentiful.

The first OKRA is out.

There are still some SQUASH, but the bugs are killin' the plants.(I do not put bug spray on food.) I'll plant more but there will be a gap in production.

Pleasant Hill road just off New Hope Road. Not quite a mile from Hwy 114.
Honor system is still in effect. If ye want to visit, toot yer horn and be patient.
