We also offer riding instruction in classical dressage and working equitation. Tin Goat Farm started as a secluded park like playground for our rescued Australian Cattle Dogs. Since it's beginning, we have added 3 barns, loafing shed, pastures and an arena for the horses, chickens, and goats. We started with Nigerian Dwarf goats and added Kinder goats and Angora goats and Angora crosses. Although
we don't claim to be homesteaders, we do try to honor the land by recycling as much product as possible, using plant based products to manage weeds and pests and feed a species specific diet to promote health. We will not use synthetic preservatives, scents or colors in our goat milk products. We approach farm management with a holistic concept by balancing mind, body, and spirit. We tend to each animal's unique emotional needs with species appropriate diets and exercise appropriate for their age and fitness level. We honor the spirit of each animal and allow them to learn at their own pace and in ways that allow them to express who they are as individuals. We teach classical horsemanship which is based on the concept of honoring the spirit of the animal as a partner, not just a vessel to achieve a goal. The HDv12 is used as the guide for training along with concepts from the Austrian, Hungarian, French and Portuguese schools to meet the unique emotional and physical characteristics of each horse. Using our background in massage and bodywork supports our training concepts, allows us to address issues while in their infancy and allows us to facilitate those animals that are being rehabilitated. We only have one planet and it is each and every persons duty to preserve what we have for ourselves and future generations. Please join us on our journey.
