Our newest menu items are ready for your pre-order:

🍓Bemi Soup (ALL NEW): Chilled Strawberry and Cream Dessert Soup - our first dessert soup! Our son came up with the idea, and we named it after both of our children. This sweet soup blends strawberries with cream and sour cream, with hints of rose, mint, and balsamic vinegar for balance.

🥣 Massaman Curry Chicken Soup (NOW WEEKLY):
Our soup version of the beloved Massaman Curry. Warm spices - cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, with Thai red curry paste, coconut milk, cashew cream and avocados make this a luxurious and delicious meal.

🥣 Black-eyed Pea and Sweet Potato Stew (V, GF, THIS WEEK ONLY:
Vegan and Gluten-Free! Based on a recipe from Senegal, this stew combines the earthiness of black-eyed peas with the sweetness of coconut oil and sweet potatoes, spices it up with chili peppers and finally brightens the stew with freshly diced tomatoes and a squeeze of lemon. You can serve it with rice or another grain, of eat it as-is.



🥣 Moqueca - Brazilian Seafood Stew (GF, THIS WEEK ONLY):
Moqueca is a traditional Brazilian seafood stew, bright with peppers, coconut, and lime. Our version uses shrimp and cod as the seafood and comes with a side of spicy pepper sauce so you can adjust the heat to your liking!

Every year I attend DragonCon with old friends who travel south to join me. Every year I bring a few Side Hustle Soups meals to share in our room. Today is the first: Curried Shrimp and Mango Salad, our sell-out favorite from the farmers markets we attend weekly!

Happy Monday!

It's now week 2 of our first-time-ever two week ordering window.

We are officially on a break this week. The storefront is closed, we are not delivering Sept. 3-4 and we will not be at Sandy Springs or Avondale Estates markets this coming weekend (Sept. 5-6). BUT the website is still open! You can order for our next delivery, which will be September 10-11. After that we will resume our usual weekly delivery schedule and weekend markets.

If you ordered last week, remember that your delivery will arrive September 10-11.

We've got a fun addition to our menu this week. Introducing "Bemi" Soup: Chilled Strawberry and Cream Dessert Soup! This soup was our son's idea, and took a few years to make it to the menu. We named it after both of our kids, and it has recently been tested and heartily approved by classroom full of fifth graders. We blend strawberries with cream, sweeten it just a bit, and added rose syrup, mint and a drop or two of balsamic vinegar for balance. It will arrive frozen. We recommend thawing overnight in the refrigerator and serving it chilled.

Our Soups of the Week are:

We like serving soups from hot climates during the summer! Moqueca is traditional in Brazil, and our Black-eyed Pea and Sweet Potato Stew is based on the Senegalese stew called Ndambe.

We have one other change to our menu to announce: Massaman Curry Chicken Soup is joining our permanent menu! It will be available every week, along with 9 other of our most popular soups. Restorative Chicken Soup with Ginger and Shiitakes will be retiring for a bit. It's available to order this week as a limited soup, and it will return in rotation later in the year.

We’re wrapping up our week-long delivery of last week’s freezer sale today! We then set up our tent at the Sandy Springs Farmer’s Market and Avondale Estates Farmer’s Market over the weekend before taking a brief hiatus next week (no deliveries/markets next week, store is closed too).

And…Side Hustle Soups is trying something new! Just for this week our new menu is open for 2 weeks. The next deliveries will be September 10-11, but you can get your pre-orders in now for the last couple weeks of summer.

🥣 We’ve switched out Restorative Chicken Soup with the Massaman Curry Chicken Soup as one of our 10 permanent soups available! Don’t worry, Restorative will be back as the weather gets colder, and limited supplies are still available as we run it out (but they won’t last).

Happy New Menu Monday!

"But wait!" I hear you say. "Aren't you supposed to be closed this week?"

Yes! We are trying something a little different this week. While we will be closed August 31-Sept. 8 and not making deliveries that week, we are keeping the website open. You will be ordering for delivery September 10-11 (delivery two weeks from now). Our NEXT menu will return to the regular weekly offering.

FREEZER SALE - Day 6 of 7

Got air conditioning? Get Soup! Our frozen soups are great meals-in-a-bowl year ‘round. Heat up a bowl of soup in the air conditioned comfort of your home and enjoy a quick delicious meal anytime. We’ve got cold salads too if that’s your thing!

FREEZER SALE - Day 5 of 7

These freezer sales are a great opportunity for us to offer WAY more varieties of soup than we normally carry (which is already a LOT!) Plus, we discount them to make it easier for you to stock up.

For us, it's also an opportunity to play catch up with the many expenses of running a business like ours. Freezer sale weeks are always our busiest weeks - many of our customers who haven't ordered in a while come out for the sale, and lots of new customers decide to give us a try for the first time. Everybody loves a sale!

The good news is that most of the varieties we started with are still available! The bad news is, this is the slowest we've ever seen for a freezer sale as long as we've been doing this. So, let this act as your reminder to order today if you've been planning to order again from us (or if you're planning to make this your first order.) Our selection of soups is unmatched and we truly love putting the meals we eat at home on your tables!

FREEZER SALE Day 4!

The limited quantity soups are starting to go - order today before we "86" your favorites! There is still a huge selection, so stock up. Frozen soups keep at least 6 months in the freezer so they'll keep until the temps drop below 90 (or eat them now in your air-conditioned home 😉.

We will be braving the heat again this weekend at the Sandy Springs and Avondale Estates Farmers Markets. We bring plenty of our chilled Gazpachos and cold salads, along with frozen soups, which are perfect for a warm day out.

Happy FREEZER SALE Monday!

A few times a year our freezers get over stocked with extra soups, which means you get a FREEZER SALE! We have dozens of varieties of soup at a discount this week. Order early, though, because quantities are limited!

We will be delivering August 25-29. You’ll get an email with your delivery date just as soon as we are able to determine our routes for the week. There will be no deliveries the first week of September, so be sure to stock up.
