Global Growers Network

Global Growers Network Global Growers Network partners with people from diverse cultures who grow fresh food for their families and for local marketplaces.

Together, we build and sustain networks of land, resources, markets, and people in order to create a more equitable food Global Growers Network is a nonprofit that increases the number of food producers who create access to healthy nutritious food that is sustainably grown and also prepares commercial farmers to be competitive in their local marketplace. Global Growers grew out of the tremendous d

emand among international farmers, many of whom came to Atlanta as refugees of war. These farmers sought to reconnect to their agricultural heritage in their new home. Recognizing this exceptional talent, Global Growers connects local families to land, education, and markets in order to build healthier communities and to strengthen our local economy. Global Growers is committed to cultivating growing spaces and other resources for farmers who are traditionally underserved by mainstream agricultural service providers and community food organizations. We prioritize serving individuals who have come to Georgia as refugees/immigrants and who were experienced food producers in their countries of origin. Consequently, we have a primary focus on racial and ethnic groups who are underserved and underrepresented in our communities. We also serve all commercial farmers in Metro-Atlanta and the state of Georgia who have proven production experience and have limited resources for, or face significant barriers to, food production or launching farm businesses.

Woodward Academy's Work & Learn at Indian Creek Market Farm!

This is part of their Maymester Program titled, “War Eagle Service: Flying High for Atlanta.” GGN worked in partnership with Woodward Academy's Middle School to deliver a curriculum that is designed to move beyond simple volunteerism.

In this program, the students actively study the root causes of social and environmental challenges in Atlanta and the vital role non-profits play in addressing community needs. Through hands-on experience in dry creek beautification mulching the pollinator garden, the students learned about holistic land stewardship practices. But to them, the highlight really was finding "Todd the turtle" and "Billy the Snake" under the dry creek beds!!

Food Safety Saturdays 🫧

Today the team gathered to go over best practices and protocols for safe harvest, storage, and distribution 🍅

We’re excited to share the GGN has established the 2026 Hunger Relief Fund to support both farmers and communities in need:
🥬 Fresh, locally grown produce will be distributed weekly (June – October) to shelters, food pantries, and community organizations
🛒 Donation-based pop-up + pick-your-own events (dates coming soon!)
💰 All participating farmers are paid at full market value, while food is provided at no or low cost to recipients
🚉 Distribution will take place through a coordinated network of local partners who pick up produce directly from Indian Creek Market Farm
⚖️ Farmers gain market readiness skills to supply produce to our local food ecosystem while earning income

We welcome community members, partners, and supporters to contribute to this work!
💪 Volunteer: with cultivation, distribution, and/or pop-up efforts
♻️ Connect: attend a pop-up, or introduce us to a farmer or distribution partner (buyer)
💚 Donate: support with training, operations, infrastructure, pop-ups, and supplies

Contact us at [email protected] to get involved 🥕 more details and dates to be shared soon.

Shout out to our partners at for making this urban farm and food project possible! And to for the funds to get our cooler set up for food storage.
