Ford Hollow Farms

Ford Hollow Farms We are a small family owned farm featuring AKC registered Shih Tzu and AKC registered Australian Shepherd dogs. All sales are final.

Our dogs are well loved, live in our home as members of our family, and receive the best vet care. We maintain a waiting list for our baby bunnies and offer babies to prospective parents in the order of who is on the list first. We do our best to correctly s*x each rabbit that leaves our facility but understand that mistakes can and do occur. We do not offer refunds based on incorrect s*xing of a

rabbit. All rabbits require a 50% down payment at the time of selection. No rabbit will leave our facility before they are 8 weeks old and eating and drinking on their own. Deposits are non-refundable unless something happens to your rabbit before it leaves our rabbitry. If something happens while the rabbit is in our care, either your deposit will be refunded, you may select another available rabbit, or you may choose to carry your deposit over to the next litter. We reserve the right to terminate a sale if we do not feel that the placement is best for our bunny(s). All rabbits are healthy when they leave our facility to the best of our knowledge. We strive to give the best care possible and keep a clean and healthy environment for all our animals. We are currently a closed rabbitry for the safety of our bunnies and other farm animals. We will meet in a predetermined location for the pick-up of your bunny. If you wish to use transport, please notify me of which service you want to use, and we can work out details. If at any time you feel you cannot continue to care for your bunny, we ask that you return it to us to rehome for you. Each bunny will come to you with a copy of their pedigree, if applicable, transition food, and a sheet detailing best care practices for your new family member.

Farm update:
I love checking in on our puppies who have gone to their sweet families. It makes me so happy to see that they are all thriving and happy with their human moms and dads. We have been super busy for the last few months. We had a couple of litters of pups from Heidi and Lexi. We have had some losses this time and the tiniest baby born that I had ever seen out of a Shih Tzu. Martha May is now over 1 pound and thriving at the moment. She does have some health issues that have made me, along with our vet, decide that she cannot be placed with a family. She totally has a fan club and a bunch of sweet people rooting for her to grow and thrive. Her brother Waylon left for his new family last month and her sister is still here as I evaluate whether or not she will be a fit for our program. We are hopeful that she will be and will remain here with us forever! If not, she will be available for a forever family in the next few months. Lex and Heidi are now retired and living their best lives. We also retired our boy Jaq. He is happy, fat, and sassy here on the farm! I’ve mentioned my mentor Mrs. Sharon Dekle several times here. She went to be with Jesus a couple of weeks ago. I miss talking to her terribly, but I know she is in a better place. I really want sweet Cindy Lou Who to become a part of our program so that she can help to carry on the Dekle lines, along with our Gus who was our first pup from the Dekles. Btw, Gus is the father of Cindy. She will be bred with our Gizzy boy when they are both grown! Here are some pictures of Waylon with his new family, Cindy, and Martha May! Love all of these sweet babies!!!! ❤️🐾🐶
FYI- we are almost to 200 followers! Please share our posts and help us grow!!! 🙏🏻

Introducing FHF’s Sweet Lily Girl. Lily came to us from Above The Barr Shih Tzus in Georgia. We’ve had Lily for about two months now and she is the sweetest girl. She loves lazy days snuggling on the couch with us. She has the biggest, most expressive eyes! She reminds me of a Precious Moments figurine!! Lily is almost two years old, and will hopefully be having her first litter of pups this summer. ❤️🐶🐾

We’ve had a devastating loss here at the farm. Little Luna lost her battle last night. She fought hard to grow and thrive but it just wasn’t meant to be. I know she’s getting puppy cuddles in Heaven today, but my heart is shattered. She was my favorite of this litter. 🐶🐾❤️

This is so very true. It’s not just a business to us, but a love for each and every dog we have on the farm. It’s hard work, a lot of money, and tears from time to time. Right now, I have two that I am feeding around the clock in hopes that they will grow strong like their siblings and find their forever families who will love and cherish them. It’s not just a business, it’s a passion!
Borrowed from Milk and Honey Doodles:

People say it all the time:

“I promise, they’ll have a good home.”
But what that means to me, as a breeder, goes so far beyond what most people think.

A “good home” isn’t just a nice house.
It isn’t square footage or a fenced yard or matching dog bowls.

It’s a feeling.
A standard.
A commitment.
A heart-space where a dog is truly seen, deeply loved, and intentionally cared for.

A good home is someone who understands this isn’t “just a dog.”
This is a piece of my heart.
A life I stayed up with at 2 AM.
A life I prayed over when they were the size of a lemon.
A life whose first breath I celebrated… and whose first latch I protected.

A good home is someone who shows up for that dog, not just the cute moments.

Someone who:
• rearranges their schedule without complaining.
• gets on the floor and comforts them through fear stages.
• trims nails even when the dog wiggles.
• shows patience through the puppy chaos.
• doesn’t quit when it gets inconvenient.

A good home is someone who asks questions, not someone who pretends they already know.

Someone who chooses growth.
Consistency over shortcuts.
Love over frustration.

A good home is someone who sends updates not because they HAVE to, but because they WANT to.

Those messages mean more to me than people realize.
When I see your puppy smiling in your arms.
When I see them with your kids.
When I see them sleeping in their new bed.

My heart exhales.

Because that’s when I know they’re safe.
That’s when I know I made the right choice.

A good home is someone who honors the contract not because it’s a rule, but because it protects the dog.

Someone who understands:
“If life ever falls apart, this puppy comes back to me.”

Not Craigslist.
Not a shelter.
Not a stranger.
Me.

A good home is someone who remembers that behind every puppy is a breeder who cared so deeply it hurt sometimes.

Who cried over the weak ones.
Who weighed them through the night.
Who kept mama comfortable.
Who didn’t travel because babies needed her.
Who poured time, money, emotion, prayer, and intention into every moment of their beginning.

A good home values that.
Respects that.
And cherishes the puppy because of it.

A good home isn’t perfect.
It’s present.
It’s committed.
It’s willing.
It’s loving.

A good home is someone who looks at this dog and thinks:
“You’re not here to make my life cuter, you’re here to be part of my family.”

That’s what I look for.
That’s what matters to me.
Not perfection.
Not aesthetics.
Not status.

But heart.
Real, patient, everyday love.

Because when I send a puppy home, I’m not “selling a dog.”
I’m trusting a stranger with a life I’ve carried in my hands.
A life I’ve already loved deeply.

And a good home is the kind of home where that love continues for the whole lifetime of the dog.

🤍

These little babies are growing! There is such size difference between the four of them. Max and Cindy Lou Who are right at 2lbs. The little ones are at 8-9 ounces! They are all the same age! We are working hard to supplement the little ones with formula, nutra cal, and now soft puppy food with some pumpkin mixed in. Slowly but surely, they are growing! Max and Martha Mae (tiny chocolate) both have parents who are anxious to get them home. Cindy and Luna are not yet posted. I’m not sure what I’m going to decide concerning the two of them.
