Ok don’t yell at me … but it’s October 6th and we all know how busy this time of year gets between now and December 25 Christmas! We are planning to have gift baskets of handmade soaps, body, scrubs, salves, ready and dressed with beautiful Christmas decorations and bows that could be picked up and ready to go for your holiday needs if anyone is interested and would like to get on the list ahead of time you can direct message me or Matt Ennis and let me know if you would like goat milk soap, base or if you would like Shea butter, coconut, and jojoba oil will be available, individually or a combination. I can mix the goat milk base with the lavender, calendula, or dried sage and lemon, the dried sage and lemon I think would be very good for kitchen and your bathroom hand soaps but that’s a personal preference. I have a variety of herbs grown here on the farm that are dried and ready to go. Mullein is one. Mullen makes a great salve for the cold winter months and as well as the calendula for sensitive skin and lavender for relaxation. The calendula flower it’s very safe and recommended. If you’re using it for your children, I recommend Calendula as a number one safest soap and best for children and those with skin sensitivities. Lavender is also an excellent choice. As many of you know I have been a nurse, my whole life and currently retired, but I have been making soaps and salves for several years it’s very important to me to have clean skin care and as much farm grown herbs and flowers as possible to mitigate chemicals that we are bombarded with on a daily basis that is the most important thing to us here at where much more than just produce this year was not a good year or produce only our corn survived earlier in the summer and we were able to provide the community with that.
We’re hoping and praying for next year to be much better year, but in the meantime, let me know if you are interested in the soaps, gift baskets or gifts they’ll be wrapped with bows and ready to give you can let me know if you want an actual basket or just the soaps wrapped beautifully to give as individual gifts. This does not hold you to purchasing anything I would like an idea of who is interested.
