Check out our hours for the rest of April! We'll be open Friday-Monday 10am-3pm, and open for dinner between 5pm-8pm on Fridays!

We also will be hosting Noodle Night next Thursday 4/16, 5pm-8pm - we'll have some special noodle dishes, along with special cocktails and desserts!

As you may have seen in our last post, some changes are coming up for the business and its current owners. We will keep you posted on our hours and any other developments as they happen, but one thing we know for now is that we would love to see you this month, so be sure to stop in!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Blazing Star is for sale!

This was a hard decision to come to, but our owners are transitioning out after 4 glorious years running the Blazing Star Cafe on Water Street (and 7 years since the business’s inception as a catering company/local food pop-up in 2019)!

Owning this beloved business with a great location on Water Street in picturesque Decorah is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for good food, local ingredients, and the Decorah community.

Buying this business means skipping over the set-up and building phase of small-business development. You get our seasonal menus and all of the recipes we’ve tested and perfected over the years, a professionally designed logo and brand kit, and a dedicated customer base and 5-star reputation (check out our customer’s reviews!)

Please spread the word about this opportunity to own the greatest little vegetarian cafe in town!

The people who have been with us for most or damn near all of this ride, we can never express our gratitude enough.

Our incredible customers are the spark and the reason we do this and also what has kept this dream alive. To all of our regulars- who we see on the same day every week, who show up for your special occasions, who always buy a ticket to our events, who book us to cater your weddings, who bring us fresh herbs and squash from your gardens, who take the time to write us glowing, 5 star reviews (who, who, who- we could go on and on- our customers are out of this world, STARS): we can’t begin to put into words what getting to do this has meant to us, THANK YOU for everything.
