Ace is growing into a nice solid looking horse

Even with crazy wind storms and freezing temperatures Ace continues to carry on with his calm and want-to-please personality. He navigated alternate routes on the trail with down trees like a pro, taking the lead when the older horses didn't want to plunge off of the trail.

Ace leading the way through a tough water crossing. We have not crossed here before and the step in is a bit steep, but he thought it looked like a nice place and plunged in. Then we discovered there was no trail on the other side. Ace led the way and picked through the brush and branches.

Took Ace out. Did water, climbed hills, led the way through a rough water crossing and busted brush to find a way out. He rides away from the group quietly, and was calm when have the group catered off, then picked up a quiet canter to catch up.
