Last year in midst of all things happening.... We thought we do more..... haha

We decided to offer some alternatives for hunters celebrating their meaningful hunting experiences.

We save the hides from their harvest and made custom hair-on pillows as a symbolic reference of their personal hunting experience.

They arrive next week for each of these families.

The logistics look like this: We take your hide from your personal deer harvest, send them to our friends at Driftless Tannery in Argyle, WI (environmentally friendly, natural tanning service) and then sent off to Gina (the seamstress) for final craft.

If any of you are interested during this hunting season; let the staff know and we can provide more details for you.

Good Afternoon Community

It is the upcoming Youth Hunt weekend!

In years past, we set the precedent on offering fi****ms to families that had success in the Annual Youth Hunt.

This year will be a slightly different offering....given the number of young hunters we see; we felt it be more appropriate to offer awards to several of the youth participants.

As a result, we have partnered with our good friends from A1 Archery and will be offering 150$ gift certificates to 5 youthful hunters this weekend.

All youth dropping off a deer will be entered into the drawing....names will be drawn on Monday and posted here on the page.

Update to September bear and deer production:

All items have been cut and packages....sausage production has kicked off and should be wrapped up for those folks within one week.

Off to a great start and production times are back to normality for 2026!

Mike Luhman found this set of sheds this past Spring. This past weekend, Matt shot the same deer.... take a look at the size increase in the one year time. Moral of the story is, if you can manage and let the 4 year old go....you can see an increase in size in all categories.
