We are a family operated market garden providing farm fresh produce along with lamb for your table.

Fresh Cut Farms is a diverse homestead located north of Spokane, Washington between Wandermere and Deer Park. We offer fresh fruits, vegetables and pasture raised livestock produced on our 48 acre family farm. Our goal is to raise these items in the most ethical, environmentally and economically sustainable manner possible. We operate our family farm using creative methods with the utmost regard f

or those who consume our products, plus strive to leave the land and community better than when we connected with them. We purchased our turn of the century homestead in July 2015 with the goal of bringing it back to life producing high quality produce and pastured livestock. In addition to providing these items to our community we have a long range plan of establishing a small Air B&B and event venue using the old farmhouse and other turn of the century structures as the draw for the endeavor. Since moving onto the properly we have annexed 4 acres of the homestead to fruit and vegetable production. To diversify our operations we have chosen to raise pastured livestock and designated 30 acres of the farm for this purpose raising sheep, goats, cattle and hopefully pigs and chickens in the future.

The Rose line🌹... The antics of Pacific Rose (aka Rosie) are one of the things that got us hooked on the Valais. Every week her shepherd would post the crazy shenanigans she would pull... and there was always a new story driving a laugh😂! Her daughter Rose Bud is a mellow girl, but her daughters... hmmmm!!! Wild Rose🌹 lives up to her name, and Rose Bud's latest pair of girls are making names for themselves🫣!!!

One of Rosie's common tricks was getting out and into things she shouldn't be into. Wellll one of her granddaughters has picked up that little skill besides being the chief nibbler. The shepherds are going to have to keep an eye on this one!!!

Hey there, Easter bunnies! 🐰 The Curly Cuties hope you had an egg-cellent holiday! Today the shepherds kicked the last of the ewes and their lambs out of the play pen even though Wild Rose 🌹 and her squad were all, 'Aww, do we haaaaave to?' But Coca was like, 'Let's roll, kiddos!' and her lambs were all, 'Right behind you, mom!' Now they're all out in the big pasture, and it's one big happy (and slightly chaotic) flock! 🐑🌼The lambing barn is now closed, but now it's time to shear and clean the barn!!!

Tunnel 2 is now full😁! We finished planting round 3 this week, and things are looking really good in tunnel 1👍. Now with the tunnels full we have 2 weeks to finish getting or new tunnel ready🫣. That shouldn't be an issue.... BUT we might have to spend more time in the barn! Those darn Curly Cuties babies need cuddles🥰!!!

We're hoping everyone made it through April Fools day without getting punked to bad! For the shepherds the sheep shenanigans never stopped and they even had co-conspirator the shepherds' daughter!!

For the morning feeding one of Patches' triplets decide she was a big kid now, and joined the fall lambs! She was hoping the shepherds wouldn't catch her little stunt, but she was singled out by the teenagers tattletales and was quickly put back with her mom...

Then, Coca pulled off the ultimate drama queen move, faking contractions to get some extra attention... and a trip to the vet, of course! 🤣 She had dropped her afterbirth shortly after delivery, but she hadn't seemed a 100% since her delivery. With that contraction the concern now was if she dropped all of it, or if she was trying to do something more severe 🫣??? All was good and when everyone was home all she wanted was some fresh grass🌱... to bad she couldn't of just asked for it instead of being a prima donna!!!

After all the 🐑 shenanigans, the shepherds were just relieved to make it through the day without getting punked too badly😳. And let's just say, the shepherds' daughter has a few tricks up her sleeve that'll remain a secret... for now 😉. Lambing season is exhausting, but April Fools' Day takes the cake (or should I say, the hay? 🐑)!

Lambing is done, and it's time to tackle the to-do list from hell... 🙅‍♂️ First up, Triple Play! This dude needed a haircut and a pedi, stat! 💇‍♂️

Why not shear... well Mother Nature keeps throwing some nasty cold 🥶 windy nights at us, AND cleaning up this boys head right takes time🕰. In the beginning this guy wasn't much for the trimmers ✂️ but by the time the shepherds were about done he actually liked what was happening.

With his head done it was pedi time. This guy's hooves grow like weeds 🌾, so the shepherds had to get on it. And let me tell you, his bunk mate TC has got some stumpy slow growing hooves in comparison - thank goodness the ladies are all like TC and not this big guy!!!

So before letting Triple Play out to play the shepherds thought he might need a little something to keep his neck and head warm... 🤣

With Wild Rose🌹 out of the way that left ONE... Coca! By everything the shepherds had Coca was due before the Rose🌹, but that's history. Saturday morning was Coca's time⌚ and this ewe knew the drill! After the shepherds had her lambing jug prepped and opened the gate Coca charged in to get settled in for the task at hand...

After a couple hours 🕰 Coca started the work she had to do! She handled it with ease delivering a large ram/ewe pair. The largest pair she had delivered to date, and boy were they ready to roll!!! Both were jumping to drink within minutes of hitting the ground and never looked back.

With that, the 2026 spring lambing season is a wrap!!! Final score ewes 10, rams 9 and for a second year the ewe lambs take the trophy🏆!!! Their come from behind win is applauded 👏by the shepherds!!!

Who gets the last laugh🤣.... Wild Rose🌹!!! Apparently she didn't like being charged as a co-conspirator in the chalk scandal. Problem is she was the one behind the disappearing chalk. The shepherds had her tagged to lamb the beginning of March 📆because of her marking, but the day came and went and then had no clue🕵️‍♂️ on when she'd go...

Fast forward to last night🌙. As the shepherds were doing their 11PM check Wild Rose🌹 tried to hide that she was in labor, but then she had a contraction that prompted an opening of the labor ward for 3 hours⌚. The first time mom was adamant about doing things on her own, but after a bit of not going as planned she finally gave into a shepherd assist!!! And like a chip off the old block (Rose Bud🌹 daughter) she had a ram/ewe pair almost matching her and her brother's (Iceman's) weight.... these two littles are almost spitting images of their mom & uncle!!! The shepherds love the Rose 🌹line!!!!

🚨 Breaking News: Sheep-gate Scandal Rocks Fresh Cut Farms! 🐑 Three defendants have been caught red-handed (or should I say, red-hoofed?) and charged with chalk-related crimes! 🎨 The mastermind behind it all? None other than Triple Play the ram, along with his accomplices Rose Bud and Wild Rose. They've been accused of falsifying ewe markings and making chalk disappear, causing the shepherds to lose sleep over inaccurate due dates. 😴

But wait, there's more! Madame Mischief and her mom Missy are also in hot water for tampering with the camera system, leaving the shepherds in the dark. 📹 And if that's not enough, Miss Copperfield pulled a Houdini act, escaping to the next pen to wreak havoc on the fall lambs, much to her mom Hannah Houdini's delight! 🎩 Last but not least, the barn cat is guilty of being the flock's very own messenger boy, carrying secrets between the King Pin and his co-conspirators! 🐈 Who knew sheep could be so dramatic? 🤣

With a lull in the lambing🐑 action it's back to the garden🌽🎋... we know the boring part of the farm🚜. Trust us, we'd rather be playing with the Curly Cutie Nibble Squad too🐏❤️!!!

Anyway, yesterday started off with the fan favorite sugar snap peas🫛! It was time to put the start of the trellis system in for round 1 and get round 2 in the ground. We're still having to tuck all the plants in at night since Mother Nature can't seem to let go of winter☃.

We will have to give Mother Nature a little credit.... she did give a perfect day to prep a few outside beds and transplant the onion 🧅starts we've been holding onto. They were slated to go in March 15th, but it's a little hard to till and transplant in 6" of slushy snow🌨🤦‍♂️!!! Luckily we knocked it out because we're once again getting drenched with an entire day of rain🌧... good for the area but hard to work the soil🤷‍♂️!

The one thing we are excited about this year... we're respacing our beds so we have a little more room to work! Our garlic 🧄was planted on the old pattern and hopefully that will be the last of the narrow tight walking beds!!!

Lambing season is officially the best! Broken hearts💔? Who needs 'em?! It's all about the HEARTS 🖤💚💛❤️ coming to life now, baby! 🐑❤️ And let's be real, the real fun begins when the lambs' personalities start shining - aka when they turn into tiny, adorable dictators demanding snuggles and snacks 24/7! 🤣 The nibble bug 🐛is REAL and very contagious, folks, and even the big kids can't resist joining the snack🍟 attack squad! 🤪 Big Country's had to be part of this flash mob! And chores? 🙃 Who needs to get anything done when you've got a lamb party to attend? 🎉
