With so much negativity right now, we wanted to share some good news in your feed. Today we’re giving a special shoutout to one of our amazing customers who’s giving back to the community in a big way. Thank you so much for your wonderful letter, Daniel! It was an absolute pleasure to work with you and we hope to see you again soon. ♥️👇🏻
“Dear Cory, Violet and Enrique,
I am pleased to give thanks to each of you for the kindness and cooperation shown to me on April 9, 2020 as we each served at least a temporary response to a need in the community of Boynton Beach. I became aware of a specific need at The Soup Kitchen of Boynton Beach through the South Florida South Florida Sun Sentinel front-page article on the morning of April 9th. After a brief search for meat suppliers online, I drove without appointment to the Larry Kline Wholesale Meats facility in Deerfield Beach.
A very special thanks goes to Violet Heydet (Customer Service Manager), who politely responded to my call over the security intercom as I tried to explain my purpose for being there. Violet dropped what she was doing and came downstairs to meet me and get a better understanding of what I was trying to accomplish. She graciously and kindly brought me into the main office and we discussed the needs of The Soup Kitchen and possible items that could address the scope of the work that The Soup Kitchen does in feeding many. Violet gave a good deal of her time and attention to this matter and wisely communicated my request to Mr. Cory Check, (President of Larry Kline Meats).
Mr. Check arrived shortly thereafter and generously gave his time and attention to this mission. Cory and Violet discussed how best to fill the cart of meats with the most food for value. Ultimately, a variety of four different meat selections and a total of 642 pounds of quality meats were selected, packaged, and loaded in my truck for transport to The Soup Kitchen in Boynton Beach.
Violet Heydet and Cory Check were absolutely perfect in their response to this need during the Coronavirus pandemic, at a time when the needs of this particular community are great, just days before Good Friday and Easter. May God Bless you Violet and Cory!
Upon arrival at The Soup Kitchen in Boynton Beach, I was greeted by Mr. Enrique Zuanetto, President & CEO (attachment IMG 8257). The Larry Kline Wholesale meats were immediately unloaded and stored in the walk-in freezer at The Soup Kitchen. Enrique was kind enough to give me a tour of The Soup Kitchen, after which we sat in his office to talk for a while (attachment - Signed Receipt). The Soup Kitchen is west of the Florida Turnpike on Boynton Beach Boulevard – far from the beach. While many people from various walks of life are served – especially in this time of employment instability, The Soup Kitchen serves the migrant worker community that labor on the farms in western Palm Beach County. Enrique Zuanetto does important work in this area and The Soup Kitchen provides essential services and references to other agencies needed by its’ clientele.
On this day in a time of need, God worked through us all to provide at least some temporary relief in a place that serves those who are struggling to find a decent meal. I could not be more proud or honored that you each stepped up to do something special. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Sincerely,
Daniel L. Hardin”
