We did something today that was long overdue at the farm. We removed 5 very large black cherry trees that overhang what used to be cornfield, and is now hay field. Black Cherry is toxic to many livestock, and can easily kill a goat, so we had a local tree service fell the trees for us, and we got busy! With two chainsaws in my hand (not at the same time, that would be dangerous) and a wood chipper I borrowed from my good friend Ed, I got busy cleaning up. Most of these trees were covered in poison ivy. So I had to cover up completely after the video clip, and we are hopeful that things aren't too bad 😒 But, after about 6 hours with some help from Liz and my pallet forks, I got through it all!
