I want to welcome all of the new followers to Phinney’s Farm and thank you for being here.
I also want to give a special thank you to Shu-I for helping spread the word about the farm. Every share, every comment, and every person who follows this page means more than I can adequately express.
For those who are new here, Phinney’s Farm is more than a farm to me. It became my refuge after losing my wife, Michelle. When grief turned my world upside down, this old farm gave me a place to keep moving forward one day at a time. Some days that meant planting seeds. Some days it simply meant finding a reason to get out of bed and face another day without her.
This journey hasn’t been easy. There have been setbacks, financial struggles, long days, and moments when I questioned whether I was where God wanted me to be. Yet time and again, He has reminded me to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Sometimes through an unexpected blessing, sometimes through a kind word, and sometimes through people who simply take the time to share our story.
My hope is to build a farm that produces healthy food free from pesticides and herbicides while honoring the values Michelle and I shared. Every garden row, every harvest, and every improvement made here carries a piece of that story and a piece of her memory.
To everyone who has recently joined us, thank you for following along. Your support reminds me that even in the hardest seasons, God is still at work.
“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
When I am weak, He is strong.
Welcome to Phinney’s Farm.

Three years ago today, I lost my wife, Michelle.

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about her.

I miss the little things the most—the sound of her voice calling my name, the warmth of her hand in mine, her beautiful smile, and especially her laugh. There was something about her laugh that could make everything feel okay, even on the hardest days. I would give anything to hear it one more time.

People see three years and think that’s a long time. But when you lose your soulmate, time doesn’t erase the loss. It just teaches you how to carry it. Some days are manageable. Other days the emptiness hits just as hard as it did the day I said goodbye.

Michelle wasn’t just my wife. She was my best friend, my safe place, my partner in everything, and the love of my life. We shared dreams, struggles, victories, tears, and countless memories. She knew me better than anyone ever has, and she loved me anyway.

There are still moments when I catch myself wanting to tell her something, share a joke, or hear her opinion. Then reality settles in, and I’m reminded once again that she’s gone.

My heart still carries the weight of losing her.

Yet through all the pain, I thank God for every day He allowed me to spend with her. I thank Him for the love we shared and for the memories that can never be taken away. My faith reminds me that death is not the end and that one day, by God’s grace, I will see her again.

Until then, I will keep loving her. I will keep missing her. I will keep carrying her in my heart.

Because when you find your soulmate, that love doesn’t end when they leave this earth.

Michelle, I miss you more than words can ever say. Three years later, and I still love you with all my heart.

Phinney’s Farm: A Calling Planted in Faith
By Greg Phinney

For over ten years, I searched for a piece of land. The day after my mom passed away from heart disease, it found me. It was as if God placed it in front of me in His perfect timing. That land became Phinney’s Farm.

Her passing was one more heartbreak in a line of painful losses. I had already lost my dad to colon cancer, and my brother to heart disease. Not long after, my Father-in-law to dementia four months later my wife was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. I walked beside her through that battle, searching for ways to ease her suffering, praying for direction, and diving into the healing power of food.

What I discovered was life-changing—real food, grown the way God intended, holds healing power. Garlic, black radish, leafy greens, bitter melon—natural foods with the ability to nourish, strengthen, and even fight disease.

When I lost her, the mission became clear. Phinney’s Farm wasn’t just a place to grow crops—it was a place to grow hope. A place to honor the people I loved, and to serve others walking the road I knew all too well.

Phinney’s Farm is a place where faith and healing grow side by side. What began in sorrow has become a source of life, joy, and purpose. With God’s guidance, this land has turned into something beautiful—a place where hope takes root, and every harvest is a reminder that He can bring light even from our darkest seasons.
