We are delighted to introduce Phoebe, a beautiful yearling Shire, whose loving nature and stunning appearance have made her a valuable addition to our Shire conservation program. Our sincere appreciation goes to MacKenzie Shires for their exceptional breeding practices, which have produced this remarkable mare. At just over a year old, Phoebe's impressive height is already evident, and as she continues to mature, we expect her to become an outstanding representative of the Shire breed. The Shire horse is not only the largest horse breed globally but also a living testament to history. Having played a crucial role in transporting armored knights and hauling heavy wagons, these majestic creatures faced near extinction with the introduction of tractors. Currently classified as an at-risk breed, conservation initiatives are underway to safeguard their future. The birth of each Shire significantly contributes to the preservation of this incredible breed.
