Fresco di Masi is a Corvina and Merlot blend from the legendary Masi family of Valpolicella — the same seventh-generation family that makes Amarone — but built for an entirely different occasion: light, fresh, organic, wild-yeast fermented, unfiltered, aged in absolutely no oak whatsoever, and clocking in at a genuinely limpid 9.5% alcohol. That means roughly 30% fewer calories than a standard red, zero compromise on flavor, and the liberating instruction to serve it chilled at 54°F like a rosé. The bottle — designed by the architect Piero Lissoni, transparent and weightless — even looks like something you'd want to drink on a warm afternoon. In the glass it's all bright cherry, pomegranate and blackcurrant, fresh and juicy and immediately enjoyable with pasta, charcuterie, pizza, vegetarian dishes or absolutely nothing at all.
