It's been a very hot summer at the farm this year which makes work dangerous and difficult. After the last winter freeze we sustained a lot of loss as well as damage. We are now beyond the hedging of the bushes and finishing planting our new varieties of blueberries. The U.F. release of Falcon and Sharp are now being planted. This will be the first time we will place plant wraps with stakes to protect the young plants as they grow. It's a lot of extra time and labor but thru the growing process I believe it will produce more upright and healthier bushes. This will add another 2,000 plants for the future. Lord willing, they will grow and provide for the future.
