Shady Haven Farms LLC Shady Haven Jerseys is a family owned farm from central Ohio. We milk 80-100 registered Jersey Cattle. We also have corn, soybean, and wheat fields. Mr. and Mrs.

Back around 1957 William Thurston bought the current farm. Thurston started with a small herd of Jersey cows milking them in stanchion stalls. At one point Mr. Thurston sold all the jersey cows because he was going to retire. But as any other farmer knows it is practically impossible to retire. Missing the animals he bought Beef cattle. Shortly there after he realized they are not as nice and swit

ched back to milking Jersey cows. On this farm he has raised 6 children (5 girls and 1 boy.) Also many grandchildren grew up around the farm. Now even the great-grandchildren are brought out to visit the farm. 56 years after buying this farm Mr. Thurston is still running it with the help of his lovely wife, Shirley Thurston, his son, John Thurston and his grandchildren, Eric Rammelsberg, Leah, Lizabeth and Meghan Thurston.
