Thank you to the Colorado Canyons Association for an incredible day on the river! 🌊☀️

Our float from Escalante Canyon back to Honey Rock Landing was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Western Colorado while learning more about the history and significance of this special landscape.

A special thank you to the guests from the Ute Indian Museum in Montrose for sharing their knowledge of the petroglyphs and pictographs just across the river from our orchard. Your stories and insights added so much meaning to the experience!!

We’re so grateful for the work CCA does to connect people with our public lands through education, stewardship, and outdoor experiences. What a memorable day!

We had a blast hosting the high school summer program students! 🧨🚌

From organic and regenerative farming to the realities of growing fruit in the high desert, we loved sharing how our orchard adapts, innovates, and makes the most of every season—even when nature has other plans.
It was a joy showing students what goes into growing food, caring for the land, and building a sustainable business.

Sharing where food comes from and inspiring the next generation of growers is the cherry on top of all the hard work that goes into farming. 🍒

It’s time to welcome the community to the farm and show you what we continue to grow.🌿🍑

Many of you already know this, and we’ve stayed fairly quiet as the season unfolded—but we are now ready to share that we have sadly lost our cherry, peach, and pear crops for the year 🍒🍑🍐

An early warm spell brought beautiful blooms, followed by a late freeze that caused widespread damage. We see frost events like this most years, but we haven’t experienced a full loss like this since 2020.

Even so, we’re deeply grateful for what is thriving: healthy trees , a strong vegetable and flower season underway, and the many guests staying with us in the Cave Suites. We try to hold onto every win here at Honey Rock.✨

While we won’t be able to host U-pick cherry and peach events this year, we’ll be shifting into something new. This summer we’ll be opening the orchard on Fridays for “Open Orchard Fridays”, inviting the community to come enjoy the stillness, walk the land, and take in the season with us!

On weekends, we’ll be focusing on immersive stays for our Cave Suite guests, so we kindly ask that visitors plan their orchard time for Fridays rather than wandering down on weekends out of respect for their experience.
