Our new improved Philly Cheesesteak... we tweaked our roll recipe, added 25% more meat, and used a new prep technique to make the cheesiest, meatiest cheesesteak around.

***UPDATE***

I thought I updated this (like I did the post in the Deltona group) but we reopened Friday. The water cleared and tested well. Thanks everyone : )

***ORIGINAL BELOW****

We are closed today (May 29th) until further notice due to what we assume must be a water main break in our area.

Deltona Water is working to investigate. We were told the water is most likely safe, and that the color is most likely due to a clump of rust or sediment breaking free from one of the pipes servicing our area.

But we don't feel comfortable washing our hands or preparing food in this water. So we are closing until the matter is resolved.

Monster family: a 7 year old child ran away from home 4 hours ago (around 8pm) in the area of Stillwater Drive.

Police are searching for him. He is autistic, non-verval, and attracted to Chriatmas lights and bodies of water (pools, lakes, etc.)

Spread the word! Check your cameras for motion alerts!

VSCO is asking people to stay indoors so their dogs can do their work, but if you hear something that sounds like it could be a 7 year old in your yard or woods, or see him around your home, please call it in to the Sheriff's office. He will likely run if you approach him.

***Update #5***

We are saddened to report that we have recovered Charlie’s body from the water. This is the tragic outcome we all worked so hard hoping would not come to pass. We appreciate all the shares, the community support and the assistance from all our partner agencies in this effort.

***Update #4***

The search is still active this morning. As of this post (approx. 7:20 a.m.) there is no new information to report as deputies and assisting agencies continue to search the area.

***Update #3***

Deputies will keep searching through the predawn hours and into the morning. There are no updates to report at this time (approx. 1:50 a.m.), but we will continue to check out all tips and thoroughly search the area. Thank you to all our partner agencies who have joined in the search, and everyone who’s sharing this post and spreading the word.

***Update #2***

Units are continuing a thorough search on the ground and from the air, with additional help from our surrounding agencies. Lombardy Drive is closed in the area of Firefighters Park. We are checking out every tip that comes in and will continue to update with any significant information.

***Update #1***

We have K-9s on the ground assisting in the search. Additional foot traffic in the area may affect their ability to track.

We do appreciate everyone who came out to help - but if you can stay in your vehicles and out of the K-9 units’ path, that would be a huge help as well!

As soon as we have new information to report, we will post it here asap.

Monster Pizza lost its founder, our Dad, Danny, yesterday morning. He passed away peacefully and completely unexpectedly in his sleep. He was 63.

Many of our long-time customers will remember our Dad, particularly from the time we were at our old location on Doyle road (like in the photo above, circa 2008). His passing is why we closed yesterday. We love and will miss him very much.

He leaves behind our mother, my brother, sister and I, a beloved son-in-law, two grandchildren, four sisters, countless nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends, acquaintances and former employees whom he cherished.
