We will be hiring soon for our summer season! If you are looking to earn some extra cash, we would love to have you join our team.

Sign ups will be held in early June. We will be hiring for blueberry picking and we pay per pound so the more you work the more you earn. Our season normally starts early July and is done by early August. So if you know of any students looking to stay busy, send them our way too! Must be 14 years or older (exceptions can be made for kids 12-13 who are working with an older sibling or adult).

Keep watching our page for sign up dates and times - we will post the dates here in May and have sign ups throughout June.

Our season is winding down this week.

U pick is closed for the season.

We are still picking Jerseys to try to get through more of our wait list. If you are on the list for fresh or frozen, and we get to you in the line, we will call you to arrange pickup. Fresh berries must be picked up same day. If you are unable to make it same day, we can freeze the blueberries and hold them for you to pick up at a later date. Or you can stay on the list and if we continue picking we will try you the next day.

Blueberries turn rather quickly and we are not sure when this week they will turn and no longer taste sweet. When they do we will be done for the season picking.

Jerseys are ripe and ready for picking
This is our last week for this season - we will have u-pick Wednesday from 7 am to 12 noon and then Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7 am to 5 pm.

If you are on our Jersey call wait list please be patient. We are going to start calling down that list as early as tomorrow. We are going as fast as we can, we just need a few nice weather days to help us a bit. The past two days have been too hot and tomorrow they are calling for rain. But later this week does look very promising for us.

U pick price is $2.50 per pound

We have several upick fields available with beautiful picking in them. We are into our mid season varieties which are a mid sized berry. Picking will not be as easy as it is in the first week but it is definitely rewarding as these are sweet!! We will also be opening more fields later this week.

Jersey Update - Jerseys are turning and we plan on opening a Jersey field later this week (most likely Friday depending on weather). Pictures were taken today of the jerseys so you can see their progress. We will start picking them for orders in about a week. The Jersey bushes are not as full as last year, so we anticipate they may be picked out faster than normal.

Until then, our u-pick fields remain open, but the picking is a bit tougher as second pick is not as large as first. There are plenty of blueberries out there, you should expect it to take 2x to 3x as long as normal to fill a bucket.

We are still filling orders but will not be taking any more confirmed orders for this year. We have a Jersey list already started and will begin working through that list early next week. You can still call us at 219-987-2957 to get on the prepicked wait list. We are doing our best with Mother Nature and the crop we have to try to fill all orders. We just ask for patience as we wait for things to ripen up.
