Our organic Lunchbox peppers are in the Farm Store right now! These little peppers are sweet, crisp, and perfect for snacking or adding to a meal.

A few ways to enjoy them:
~ Eat them fresh right out of the fridge. They’re sweet and crunchy, and make an easy snack!
~ Stuff them with black garlic and cream cheese for a simple savory treat. You can find the recipe on our website!
~ Roast or grill them with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a splash of balsamic vinegar. Trim the peppers and remove the seeds first, then cook until tender and lightly charred.

Stop by the Farm Store and grab some of these lovely, colorful, organic peppers!

We’ve been farming for quite some time, and have never seen demand like this for our salad mix.

This is great news in one way (yay for supporting our local food economy AND getting healthy greens to more people!).

But challenging because we can’t magically create supply over night when demand increases this dramatically, as it’s takes about 8 weeks from seeding to harvest for the salad mix.

We plan to have our salad mix back in the store starting September 14.

Thankfully, we’ll still have head lettuce and SO many other types of our delicious, organic produce in our store between now and then!

Fall CSA is officially SOLD OUT!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who signed up for our Fall CSA. We are so grateful for your continued support and for the opportunity to grow for you this season. We can’t wait to fill your kitchens with all the goodness of fall!

And as we wrap up our Summer CSA, we want to say one more BIG THANK YOU to everyone who joined us this season.

Summer brought plenty of storms, rain, and unexpected challenges, and we are especially grateful for the health and safety of our crops and farm through it all. We couldn’t do this small-town CSA thing without you showing up each week, and our hearts are full from all the encouragement, kind words, and veggie excitement you’ve shared with us.

Thank you for supporting your local farms and food system. We are so grateful to have you as part of our farm community!!

Lunchbox Peppers are here! These sweet, crisp, organic little peppers are great for snacking, cooking, and saving for later.

A few tips for storing them:
~ If you plan to use your peppers within a week or so, place them in a sealed plastic bag and store them in the crisper drawer of your fridge.
~ Want to save some for later? Peppers are easy to freeze and are especially nice to have on hand in the chillier months!

Stop by the Farm Store to grab some! Order online for easy pickup: https://perkins-good-earth-farm.square.site/s/shop

We’re so excited to introduce our new farm apprentices! Meet Jenna & Ethan!

Jenna graduated from Purdue University this spring with a degree in Sustainable Food and Farming Systems. She's participating in our apprenticeship program to learn more about farming, explore the possibility of having her own farm some day, and to be part of building our local food economy and food supply. Welcome, Jenna!

Ethan has returned to the NWI Region after working in national parks all over the country. Most recently, he worked as a Naturalist Guide in Yosemite National Park. Ethan is participating in our apprenticeship program because he's passionate about food solidarity and supporting good health, and he wants to be part of positive change when it comes to caring for Earth and its systems. Welcome, Ethan!

What a joy it is to have them at the farm in our apprenticeship program, learning and gaining hands-on experience along the way. We’re so glad to have them here!
